Poker in Indiana

Poker continues to grow in leaps and bounds in Indiana. Casinos that traditionally did not cater to poker players are quickly opening poker rooms.

Resorts East Casino in East Chicago features 16 tables of No Limit and Limit Hold Em as well as the occasional Omaha Eight or Better game.

The most popular game is a $2-$5 blind No-Limit Hold Em game where players can buy in for between $200 and $500. The action in this game is fast and furious with many novice players participating. This game is well known for its loose players and overall profitability.

In addition to the $200-$500 game, Resorts East has also begun spreading a $1000 minimum, no maximum buy in game as well. Although it is too early to give a reliable report on this game, it is likely that it too will be a very good game. As well as cash games, Resorts East also runs regular tournaments. The tournament buy-ins are generally around $200.

These rooms stay busy around the clock, with the most popular game being No-Limit Texas Hold Em. Home games are also flourishing throughout the state with the most popular game again being No-Limit Texas Hold Em.

This poker room features a Bad Beat Jackpot as well as occasional events where larger buy-in tournaments are offered.
